SOUNDBOKS is an emerging young audio tech company and aspiring lifestyle brand. You may have seen us at a music festival, skate competition, basketball event or at your favorite artist’s release party. We build the loudest, most durable, and arguably the coolest, Bluetooth speaker on the market.

As the VP of Brand you’ll be the driving force behind all things related to our brand strategy and positioning in the market. You’re a strategist and a leader who understands how to best utilize the talents of the people around you in order to create a high performing and engaging environment.

The Marketing unit was recently affected by a restructuring as we aspire to rebuild the SOUNDBOKS brand with a more narrow focus on our core audience and use cases with music at the center of the experience. This means you’ll not only be steering the development of our brand but also invest time in shaping the team around you. Most notably, we expect to hire a Creative Director who will oversee the more executional aspects of our brand to let you focus on the big picture.

The team setup as of today:

  • Brand Communications & Social - 2 FTEs

  • Strategic Brand Partnerships - 1 FTE

In addition, you will step into a “horizontal team” with our two commercial VPs for online- and offline sales, where all three of you report directly into our Chief Commercial Officer. This group may be described as intellectual, ambitious, confident, results-oriented, and with a very direct communication style. You represent the brand, which is very important to us, and it’s critical that you can put the foot down and argue your points from a factual and insights driven standpoint.

Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:

  • You’ll build and lead the teams listed above. That translates into setting targets for the team and individuals, as well as, hosting development conversations and compensation reviews.

  • You’ll own the SOUNDBOKS brand strategy and brand identity, including:
    • Positioning of products in markets and across the portfolio.

    • Verbalization and visualization of our value proposition towards end-customers.

    • Core customer segments and consumer profiles.

    • Visual identity, tone of voice, photographic and video guidelines.

  • You’ll work with consumer insight agencies to understand our existing- and potential customers through consumer insights, brand perception studies and customer surveys.

  • You’ll drive awareness and desire across core-markets (US, Germany, Scandinavia) building the needed base-awareness and preference for the commercial functions to convert consumers to buyers.

  • You’ll work with commercial functions to ensure adequate brand representation across performance marketing, e-commerce and channel marketing.

  • You’ll strive to improve, and deliver, on these four core KPI’s:
    • Brand awareness

    • Brand equity

    • Social media followers and engagement

    • Sales from brand partnerships
