ROLE STUDENT ASSISTANT, ACCOUNTING

The Accounting & Tax team at SOUNDBOKS is responsible for all global finance processes. They’ve built (and keep on building) a strong foundation to support our international growth. This includes setting up solid, scalable processes to support Soundboks’ growth and meet evolving regulatory demands.
As the Student Assistant focusing on Accounting, your responsibilities will include managing incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and recording and reconciling bank transactions to maintain accurate financial records. You will also oversee the administration of the company’s expense management system, Pleo, and follow up on overdue customer payments to support smooth financial operations. These tasks are critical for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the company’s financial processes.
Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:
Bookkeeping and Reconciliation
General bookkeeping, including managing incoming invoices.
Reconciliation of banks (both in Denmark and United States) and payment service providers.
Accounts Payable and Payments
Handling accounts payables, including vendor bills and travel expenses.
Overseeing the administration of the company’s expense management system, Pleo.
Accounts Receivable
Following up on overdue accounts.
Job requirements
In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.
You’re currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and you have minimum 1 year left in your studies.
You’ve already gained a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
You’re comfortable using Microsoft Excel and may have tinkered with an ERP system and/or Pleo (an expense management platform) at some point.
You’re a quick learner and pay attention to the details, ensuring accuracy in financial data and transactions.
You communicate well in both Danish and English, spoken and written.
You actually enjoy ensuring that tasks like payments and follow-ups are completed on time.
